Hardwood makes a great surface to cut just about anything on! Treated with “board butter” to bring out the beauty of the grain and make it food safe.
We made this as a Christmas gift for a family member. Hence you can see our Christmas tree in the background! She did not want any engraving, as she did not want raw food particles getting stuck in the crevasses.
